In my capacity as the digital strategy lead, I spearheaded the digital initiatives for the Best Summer Ever campaign in collaboration with the Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department. Our primary objective was to curate unforgettable experiences for Oklahomans and travelers from neighboring states, enticing them to explore Oklahoma's State Parks and uncover hidden gems for an unparalleled summer adventure. My role encompassed devising and executing comprehensive strategies for the campaign's website, email campaigns, and social media platforms, aimed at promoting the diverse offerings of Oklahoma's 30+ state parks.

 

The 2023 Best Summer Ever campaign was designed to elevate awareness and drive engagement with Oklahoma State Parks, while also encouraging bookings at accommodations within these parks. Through a meticulously crafted go-to-market strategy, we engaged families, couples, and individuals by showcasing the rich ecoregions and exciting activities available at each state park. 

 

Our social media strategy covered channels like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Spotify, and incorporated interactive elements to enhance user engagement and foster authentic connections with the campaign. We developed two Meta filters, offering users the opportunity to discover their "State Parks Personality" and plan a day out at Oklahoma State Parks, resulting in over 3,496 uses and significant average engagement time. Additionally, animated "Best Summer Ever" social stickers on GIPHY-enabled platforms garnered over 114.2K views, amplifying user-generated content and showcasing the vibrancy of summer in Oklahoma. Furthermore, curated "Best Summer Ever" playlists on Spotify brought the essence of Oklahoma State Parks to people's homes, complementing our digital efforts and building lasting connections with our audience.

As the digital strategist, I worked to infuse the fun and playful feeling of summer into our social strategy. We developed content for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Spotify to ensure we reached the entire spectrum of our target audience, from multi-generational families to young couples to retiree travelers. As part of the campaign, we developed over 350+ social media posts, developed two interactive Meta Spark filters, GIPHY stickers and Spotify playlists.
